Poparuba recreates foods normally villified by carbs and sugar so that the original "sinful" versions are transformed into equally-as-delicious new editions which also boast stunningly comprehensive nutritional benefits befitting even the most pious and restrictive foodie. Our Cake Bites are not only GLUTEN-FREE and completely GRAIN-FREE, they are also extremely low in carbohydrates and almost completely untouched by sugar. 

We use super-foods like Garbanzo Beans, Organic Coconut and Almond Flours, Olive Oil, Pumpkin, Dark Cocoa and since we wouldn't dream of adding sugar, we employ the help of Birch-Tree Xylitol to impart sweetness and a variety of additional health-promoting benefits. Burning fat and feeling decadent is now a little piece of cake.  

Kerri is the founder of Poparuba and our resident recipe developer. Kerri is a graduate of The University of New Mexico where she studied Biology and Psychology with plans to start a career in medicine. 

While in college, Kerri became an active fitness swimwear competitor and by default, a fitness and nutrition fanatic. Needing to stay lean and fit, she became ultra focused on developing clean, sugar-free and low-carb foods that she couldn't find on any store shelf. Since necessity is the mother of all invention, Kerri's need for the food products that she could not find anywhere lead her to create a sort of science for recreating traditionally carb and sugar laden foods to be the nutritional opposite of their traditional versions while still being shockingly delicious. Kerri ultimately focused her energies toward making her creations available to other grain-free and sugar-free seekers and decided to put her delightfully nutritious and delicious baked goods in a package.

Fitness competition, deep love of decadence, devotion to nutritional piety and food science exploration paved the way for Kerri to become the originator of the world's most nutritious and delicious Cake Bite!
